Female Rockers LogoHow did you first get into drums?

I discovered the beauty of playing drums when I was just 7 years old. I looooved to bang on the kitchen pots at home, and then my parents decided that it was time for drum lessons on an actual drum kit! I got my first drum set on my 8th birthday, and since then I've continued taking lessons to become a better drummer.

Female Rockers LogoWhat are you working on right now?

Right now I'm working on an EP with Gem, and I'm also preparing for summer tours with my other two disco music bands!

Female Rockers LogoAre you part of a band or mostly creating on your own?

I'm in three bands at the moment. Gem is a blues/southern rock trio made up entirely of girls. Then I also play with Groovejet and Ladies' Groove, two disco music bands that are under the same management.

Female Rockers LogoWhat kind of music do you enjoy playing the most?

I really enjoy playing metalcore at the moment, but I only play it by myself because no other musicians near me like the genre. :(

Either way, that's not really a problem, because I share what I'm playing on my social media through drum covers. There will always be someone online who likes the same genre as me!

"I'd rather play a really simple groove with passion than play something incredibly complicated just to show off."

Female Rockers LogoWho are your biggest influences?

I've had multiple inspirations throughout my drumming journey, including Steve Gadd, Gavin Harrison, Dominic Howard, Chad Smith, and II from Sleep Token.

Female Rockers LogoWhat does a typical practice or recording day look like for you?

Typically, when I practice, I start with a warm-up, then I spend time on technique exercises, and finally I work on the songs I'm preparing for my drum covers.

Some of them are really challenging, so I spend a lot of time practicing every detail until I'm completely satisfied with it.

Female Rockers LogoWhat drum kit and cymbals are you currently using?

Right now I'm using a Tama Superstar Classic with two toms and two floor toms, together with a Zildjian A Custom cymbal set consisting of 16" and 18" crashes, a 20" ride, 14" hi-hats, and a 16" china.

In addition, I have a set of handmade splashes made by my dad.

Female Rockers LogoWhat do you like most about your current setup?

The thing I like most about my setup is the splash stack that I recently made using an 8" splash and a 10" china.

I've been using it a lot to create flowy beats, similar to the ones played by II.

Female Rockers LogoWhen you create a drum part, where do you usually start?

When I create a drum part, I usually work in chronological order and simply follow the song, so most of the time I start with the groove.

Only once did I begin with what was almost a drum solo, which later became the final section of the song.

"I don't really live by goals—I just enjoy the process."

Female Rockers LogoDo you focus more on groove, technique, or emotion?

I definitely prefer emotion over anything else!

I'd rather play a really simple groove with passion than play something incredibly complicated just to show off.

Female Rockers LogoWhat motivates you to keep improving?

The amazing people I play with, and also my online fans!

It's really nice when people notice my improvements and give me positive feedback. :)

Female Rockers LogoWhat are your goals for the next year?

I don't really live by goals—I just enjoy the process.

I hope to continue playing with the same passion, and I hope to keep balancing my university commitments with publishing videos online, just like I'm doing now.

Female Rockers LogoIs there anything you'd like to say to your audience?

You really keep me going!

Every live interaction, every like, every comment online—it means so much to me. It makes me realize that I'm not doing this just for myself, but that I'm also sharing emotions with you.

Thank you to everyone who supports me!
